Surprisingly young. In the streetscape and within the service range young humans outweigh. All the same where one looks, the generation at the beginning of twenty-year-old ones is pervasive. They are well trained, nice humans. Some from the province, which look for their luck in the city, some from the city. There is unbelievably much personnel. In the business, in the restaurants, on the road, in the hotel and these young humans are cheap workers.
One sees old humans above all in the evening. They meet for playing and talking at places and street corners. They play board plays like Chinese chess or Mahjong, make gymnastic in the group or individually. There are publicly accessible devices for training, which in the free one. Playgrounds for adults as it were. An absolute necessity for humans, who are so kommunikativ, as I experienced the Chinese.
The most remarkable difference between Xi’ on and Peking - apart from terrible traffic in Xi’ an - exists in the mixture of poor and rich humans. In Peking there are large residential areas for rich humans, large for the middle class and probably also large residential areas for poor humans. In Xi’ an rich and poor humans live together more closely.
This two weeks we used different means of transport on the way. We drove by taxi, underground, bus and collecting taxi and from Peking to Xi’an we drove by the luxury softsleeper. A experience, which was only possible for us, because some humans helped us with the procurement of the tickets, which one can get in each case at the departure station and there also only five days in advance. The softsleeper was completely written off. Without the support of our Chinese hosts we would have had to plan our journey completely differently. Like that it was really possible for us to become acquainted with so many different sides of the two cities.
